Back in October 2022, the former WWE star Sara Lee suddenly passed away. Now, a new autopsy revealed that the former Tough Enough winner died by committing suicide with a deadly cocktail of pills and alcohol. The report indicates that the WWE star wanted to die on that October 2022 day after she consumed a “lethal combination of alcohol and pills” that ultimately ended her life in a tragedy for the professional wrestling world.

Sara Lee was thirty years old. She rose to fame after winning the sixth season of the WWE’s reality show competition Tough Enough back in August 2015. Now, TMZ Sports has reported on Lee’s autopsy results, which came from the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office. According to the autopsy documents, Lee died from a cocktail of alcohol and pills. But there was additional evidence at the scene that she was purposely committing suicide, including “letters of intent at the scene,” TMZ Sports reported.

In addition to having a lethal dose of alcohol and pills, Lee also had bruises and abrasions on her body and her head at the time of her death. These were a mystery, but authorities suspect that they were caused by falls while she was intoxicated with the pills and alcohol she had consumed.

At the time of Sara Lee’s untimely death back in October, the professional wrestling world shared its shock at her sudden demise. The WWE published a statement following Sara Lee’s death that stated, “As a former ‘Tough Enough’ winner, Lee served as an inspiration to many in the sports-entertainment world. WWE offers its heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and fans.”

Lee was married at the time of her death. Her spouse was none other than Cory Weston, a professional wrestler whose stage name is Wesley Blake. The couple shared three children together.

Weston shared an extremely emotional note on Instagram following his wife’s sudden death by suicide. He wrote: “You were a motivator, a best friend, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, the backbone of our family, and (my favorite) my wife. I can’t promise that I will stop grieving, but I know now that you’re free. I can’t thank you enough for giving me the best years of my life so far.”

Lee was born in Hope Township, Michigan. During her high school career, she competed as a powerlifter and always had a love for professional wrestling. After her high school career, she went on to study medical sonography at Delta College in Bay City, Michigan.

When she competed in the Tough Enough reality show competition for the WWE, she was declared a winner by votes from fans. She was beloved by the fans so much that they wanted her to win the grand prize. She earned her way to a $250,000 contract for a year with the professional wrestling franchise.

Lee married Weston in December 2017. They shared a daughter Piper, aged five; a son Brady, aged three; and a baby boy, born in August 2021.
