As two female models shared a kiss for a magazine photoshoot in Italy, an angry nun rushed over to stop the sin from unfolding. The unidentified nun, who practices her relationship with God and Jesus in Italy, was dressed in an all-white habit. She was stricken by the sight of the two young female models kissing that she had to rush up and break up the incident before the photographer was able to capture the aspect they needed.
The two female models, Serena de Ferrai and Kyshan Wilson lock lips in the public street in the Italian city of Naples as the nun rushes over to interrupt them. The nun declares, “What are you doing? This is the devil’s work.” Meanwhile, the two models start giggling at the nun’s interruption because they do not see anything wrong with kissing each other for the modeling job.
The nun stopped the two women from kissing by dragging them apart from each other. In addition to this photoshoot for the Not Yet magazine, the two women star in the popular Italian TV soap called Mare Fuori. The nun was furious that the two women were kissing in public and demanded that they stop in the name of God.
After the nun reprimanded the two women and the film crew, she crossed herself and declared, “Jesus, Joseph, and Mary.”
A makeup artist named Roberta Mastalia was at the photo shoot, and she spoke about the incident, saying the following:
“We were on location in the Spanish Quarter in Naples, in a little side street with the two models, when all of a sudden the nun walked past. She asked us if we had been to Mass that day, and when we said ‘No,’ she started blaming young people for Coronavirus; then she saw the two models posing up, ready to kiss, and that’s when she ran forward to split them up.”
Mastalia added, “Our first reaction was we were all stunned the new took it as a bit of a joke, and in fact, you can see from the video the two girls are laughing. We then had to ask the nun to leave as we explained we had work to do, and she slowly walked off.”
Model Serena uploaded an image of the nun breaking up the photo shoot along with a caption, “God doesn’t love LGBT.”
Kyshan, 19, also uploaded the incident to her feed on social media.
Meanwhile, Antonello Sannino, a representative of a local gay community group Arcigay believes the nun exhibited homophobic behavior. He said, “It was homophobic behavior from the nun, but at least she wasn’t aggressive. It seems as if the nun was quite outraged by what she saw, which would be understandable if it was another era.”
Additionally, Naples priest Father Salvatore Giuliano said: “The Church has always been updating its views, but in all walks of society, even in ours, some members, maybe of the older generation, have not kept up with the latest changes.”
